He finds out that a gold-medallist lives in Jamaica, former US resident and bob-sled champion Irv Blitzer (Candy) and persuades him to coach a team for entry into the 1988 Olympics. However, the team Bannock puts together has never sat in a bob-sled let alone seen snow.

John Carpenter directs this US sci-fi horror based on the short story 'Who Goes There?' by John W. Campbell. After receiving a distress signal from a nearby Norwegian base, the team from a US research station in Antarctica head out to investigate. They arrive to discover that the occupants of the base are either dead or missing while also finding the charred remains of a mysterious alien life form. Taking the creature back to their base for analysis, the team soon find that it can take the appearance of any living life form, a discovery which puts the inhabitants of the entire station in severe danger.

Russian archives opened their doors to the filmmakers, granting them exclusive access to documents and rare footage of Stalingrad. Archival film was digitally restored and scanned in HD, with some coloration of b/w material. Finally, 3-D animation helped recreate the city of Stalingrad and document its destruction in the course of the trilogy.
