Finally, in 'Steamboat Bill Jr.' (1928) William Canfield Jr. (Keaton), a young college student, goes to visit his father William Canfield (Ernest Torrence), also known as Steamboat Bill. Much to the disapproval of their fathers, young William falls for Kitty King (Marion Byron), the daughter of Bill's rival, J.J. King (Tom McGuire) a boat owner with successful businesses in the local town. When their lives are endangered by a cyclone striking the town, young William must be the hero and rescue them before it's too late.
